Aura Colors: What Do They Mean

Each of us has an aura or life force that permeates our body. This aura has a frequency or vibration that is a reflection of our personality or state of consciousness. Our personality is the sum total of all our likes and dislikes, our inner strengths and weaknesses.

How vital a person feels affects the strength or depth of the aura. A person who is tired, discouraged, or despondent will have a shallow aura. A person who is positive and enjoying life will have a strong vibrant aura.  The aura acts as a shield or buffer from energy (good or bad) in the environment.

As a person relaxes, the aura of another person can be felt. Many times in a grocery store a person can sense someone coming up behind without looking. As we shake hands or greet another person we “feel something.”

Colors that a person feels comfortable with and likes are usually an indication of positive traits in their personality. These traits become the basis for the dominate color or colors in the aura. The primary colors of the aura are Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. Colors that a person dislikes and avoids represent certain traits and qualities that are weak in a person.

Common traits associated with colors

Purple: Eccentric. Usually creative and non-conventional. Tends to daydream when bored with the mundane. Diplomatic and listens to ideas of others. Very sensitive of energy and discarnate entities. Can easily get confused in strong negative environments.

Blue: Has a healing touch and emanates a strong loving vibration. Prefers to touch and hug. Detail oriented and usually very patient. Empathetic with others and feels what others feel. Enjoys working with balanced organized people who give clear directions. Prefers not to be in charge.

Green: Innate ability to see both sides of a situation. A good mediator and enjoys finding a better to accomplish a goal. Inspires a sense of renewal and awareness of cycles. Attuned to nature and creates a balanced home life.

Yellow: Optimistic, cheerful, and finds the best in people. Notices details missed by others and enjoys an attractive working and living environment.  Becomes frustrated in a cluttered environment. Can be a perfectionist and puts pressure on others.

Red: Bold, direct, and forceful are traits of this color. Exhibits strength and determination. Excellent organizer and enjoys leading people. Prefers to receive information in brief ideas or concepts. Gets bored with long detailed explanations and can become impatient.

In relationships, personal traits can add potential conflicts or harmony. These are just a few examples of certain tendencies

  • If you are a strong Purple person, then you normally find it difficult communicating and interacting with Yellow or Red people
  • If you have a dominant Blue aura, then you are easily overcome by the feelings of other strong willed people. There is a tendency to take strong comments personally from Red aura friends or co-workers.
  • If you are a strong Red aura person, then there is a tendency to intimidate other people. Even when you do not intend to. You just naturally communicate directly and sometime without tact.
